Mr. Archer has lived in Calgary since 1963. He received his post-secondary education at Queen's University, The University of Calgary and Cambridge University.

After articling in the private sector, Chris joined the Crown prosecutors' office, where he conducted a substantial number and variety of prosecutions over nine years. With the Defence Bar since 1997, he has embraced all aspects of criminal and regulatory law and has appeared in every level of court in Alberta in addition to the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

An important part of the being a defence lawyer, is being willing to question authority.  Mr. Archer's willingness to do this is part of what makes him so good at his job.
